SINOPSIS: Granada, 1936. La sombra de la guerra civil planea sobre toda la península. En una pequeña casa granadina, una familia acomodada espera la llegada de su hijo, el malogrado peta Federico García Lorca para la celebración de su santo. Sin embargo, los trágicos acontecimientos que se avecinan regirán el destino de cada uno de ellos, sorteándolos al azar en medio de huracán hambriento de memoria histórica y versos inacabados. A partir de ahí, todos los elementos se revuelven y desencajan: la búsqueda incansable de una familia por su hijo desaparecido, las supersticiones de los pueblos, los autos faranduleros de antaño y las dificultades de una compañía teatral en plena transición dan pie a una modesta y esperanzadora historia en la que nada es lo que parece.x
"LA FLOR CAYADA" fue escrita por Juan Francisco Viruega durante el otoño de 2004, y ganó el 1er Premio de Textos teatrales del Vicerrectorado de Extensión Universitaria y de Diputación de Granada para su desarrollo. Se estrenó en mayo del 2005, con un enorme éxito de público y crítica. Estuvo interpretada por 15 actores, pertenecientes a la compañía de teatro LUNÁCRITAS, y producida por la Universidad de Granada.
